SCHOLARSHIP

The Kim Howard Memorial Scholarship was established in 2023 by Building Blocks in recognition of Kim’s dedication to early childhood education and small business development in Southern Indiana.

Kim was a champion of early childhood development and served on the board of Building Blocks (formerly 4C of Southern Indiana), for several years. Her inspirational life left a lasting impression on many across the region. In Kim’s memory, Building Blocks will award a $1,000 scholarship to a current college student (who is majoring in business, education, or related field), or a senior from a high school in our 28 county service area to assist them with the next step in their life’s journey. Qualified candidates should describe how they plan to use their education to better their community and the lives of others.

An independent panel will review all applications, interview a select few candidates, and will give special consideration to those who demonstrate a financial need.
